Michelle: What do you want readers to take away from your books?
Albert: First and foremost, I want them to enjoy a good story. When I write, I don't navel-gaze. I'm a story-teller. Then I want them to think about the characters and how they faced the problem(s) that came up in the book. I hope they feel like the characters are people they might know. There's also a historical background to both of the Steve and Kendra books, so I hope readers will realize that they've learned something without feeling they've been given a history lesson.
